LouAnn Lofton, financial writer and former managing editor of the financial website Motley Fool, has studied the investing practices of billionaire Warren Buffett for years and she has come to the conclusion that his success is not the result of testosterone-fueled risk-taking. She observed that Buffett, one of the world’s wealthiest men, was successful because he did research and was patient with his investments, even in times of financial turmoil. Her observations are the basis for her book that came out last week, “Warren Buffett Invests Like a Girl.” An excerpt from the book has been published by Forbes.com and she spoke with Reuters last week about the Oracle of Omaha.
