We’ve been big Susan Boyle fans at WVFC ever since her volcanic entrance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. Boyle has had a very busy month, between the release of her new album Someone to Watch Over Me and the new documentary Susan Boyle: An Unlikely Superstar. The latter film, which captures Boyle in the recording studio and at home with her tight-knit local Scottish community, is also unblinking about the well-known difficulties of her ascent to fame. Below, watch her sing “Both Sides Now” on the TODAY show.  And below that, here’s a bit of the film, which had its U.S. premiere last week on TLC.

@hillsmom – Susan rehomed her cat Pebbles in the summer of 2009 when she was traveling for the BGT tour. Pebbles now lives with a lady named Pam in London.

Her voice is remarkable. For some reason, it brings tears to my eyes. I hope she’s happy to share her talent and makes pots of money. I wonder if she still has her cat…was it “Pebbles”?

@cbill: Yes agreed, I didn’t know she’d gone away either.

Since this is Susan’s third album release in just under two years, the word ‘comeback’ is completely unwarranted.
