We’ve all heard it a million times — to live a long, healthy life you need to eat right and exercise. But studies show that those are not the only elements of longevity.
The “Today” show took a look at some of the other factors that may play a role in having a long life. Among those “Today” interviewed was Bel Kaufman, the author of “Up the Down Staircase.” At the age of 100, Kaufman taught a class on Jewish humor at Hunter College in New York. “People of our age, when we wake up in the morning and nothing hurts,” Kaufman told “Today,” “we know we’re dead.”
