In the interest of balanced reporting on the Abramson brouhaha,  we direct you an interview in Vanity Fair online during which Arthur Sulzberger Jr. talks for the first time (to Sarah Ellison) about the firing of Jill Abramson.  You’ll want to read it in its entirety, but for the moment, here is a glimpse of his point of view.
