This post is part of our series of Fitness Saturday exercises, workouts, and expert tips appropriate to women in the second half of life. Jonathan Urla, a certified advanced health and fitness specialist, shares a video of stretches and exercises that are perfect for getting tennis-ready.

Tennis can be a fun game to play with friends and acquaintances. It is great exercise for the legs and arms and also has cardiovascular benefits. While many people play well into their prime, tennis can be strenuous to the body, especially the knees and shoulders. It is wise to include pre- and post-game stretches and exercises. In today’s post, I am including a video of some targeted stretches and core exercises that will help get your body game-ready.

Please note that not all exercises are suitable for everyone. Consult with your physician before trying these or any other exercises.
