Since many boomers are already caring for aging parents (and the rest of us mostly just worry): WVFC has just been contacted the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the government agency that handles Medicare and Medicaid, about a new initiative to help us learn what's possible. What does Medicare provide? To whom? For how long? What does it mean when Medicaid gets involved? How can either help us care for our loved ones, and ourselves, without exhausting our own financial and emotional resources? The questions feel almost endless. The new initiative, Ask Medicare, was "developed in consultation with caregivers and
partners to provide answers to common problems and address a wide range
of questions about caregiving."

Great information. When my mother was ill, medicare was very helpful. We were able to get caregivers for her during the day so she was not alone. They were kind and comforting people. We are very grateful for the resources that were available to her during her time of need.
I watched the webcast today and found it very informative. I think the new website will be very helpful for people looking for answers to questions. There are so many caregivers and so much information that people don’t know where to go for help.
