One of the many benefits of doing Pilates is that we always do exercises to strengthen, lengthen, and stabilize your side body. This not only tones the sides of your waist and legs, it greatly improves your overall core strength and balance.
Today I’m sharing a video of the basic “Side Kick” series from Pilates mat work exercises that mostly anyone can do, although if you’re new to Pilates you may want to just observe the video first before trying it. Make sure you have a thick yoga or Pilates mat to cushion and protect your hip.
Remember that not all exercises are suitable for everyone and you should get permission from your physician before beginning this or any exercise program.
