Today is the day! It’s time for red carpets, teary speeches, and bets lost and won. We are live-blogging the Oscars tonight to cheer on our favorites and dish about the absurdities.
Starting at 7 p.m. (EST) tonight, Sunday, February 22, we’ll be watching the 87th Annual Academy Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
Join us right here, cheer along, scroll down, and comment. (Log in any time during the ceremony that you feel the urge to opine.) We welcome your remarks—as short or long as you like. Comments will be screened before we post them, and our online chats are famously civil (if a little catty sometimes about fashion). Feel free to share your point of view. Feel free to share links and photos—and Tweets @womensvoices, too!
Good Night everyone! See you next year at the Oscars.
Dr. Pat
Night all. And I want to thank….
Thanks, WVFC . It has been a blast.
and another great speech. Lots of worthwhile moments
Toni–those were jokes?
Goodnight all. See you next year!
Good night everyone!
Good night all! Thanks for making this fun.
Fifth time’s a charm!
Yes! Terrific little book, must see the movie.
So long deserved, Moore’s Oscar.
I knew it! No one deserved an Oscar as much as Julianne Moore.
Good for Julianne Moore! (It’s been a night of standing ovations, hasn’t it?)
Eddie is amazong. This is the only nominated film I’ve seen and I was breathless at his performance. Same for his performance on stage tonight.
Toni, I agree with you. So disappointed in Neil Patrick Harris. Granted this is a tough, tough gig. But, not up to his other hosting work.
Is it possible we just saw a knock-out brilliant ad from McDonald’s??
Does anyone else think Neal Patrick’s jokes do not work?
Omigod, I can;t stop crying….Graham Moore…OK, it doesn’t always have to be funny He was just beautiful!
Oh, my. Tears over this speech by such a charming young man. Yes, stay weird!
Oprah, always and the same.
Julie Andrews is so lovely – inside and out.
And now Julie Andrews. More tears.
I seem to be the only one loving tonight’s Oscars.
