We had so much fun last year, we thought an encore was worth it. We’ll be looking out, of course, for matters close to WVFC. And while the official Red Carpet doesn’t start until 7:00, but we got hold of a few early images of women we love, to start things off.
Even though Deadline Hollywood Daily’s Nikki Finke, who leaked the show’s schedule, predicts the broadcast will be a “snoozefest,” we think there’ll be enough to chat about. We’ll be bouncing between here, WVFC’s Facebook Page, and various Twitter streams. We’ll share what we learn in the comments section below, and hope you will too.

OK, it’s time to move over to the next post. See you all there?
Sandra Bullock deserves all that love. The year she’s had.
Sandra Bullock looks so perfect. Wonderful hair, complexion and dress. Great neckline for this dress.
I think Hudson is so thrilled with her weight loss that she really wanted to strut her stuff.
OK, now I have the reverse experience with Hudson’s dress. The orange looks bearable.
Elizabeth, I agree. The guys look great (no anti-tuxes yet, although there are surely some there). Seriously, actors have it so much easier than actresses in the best or worst dressed category.
You’re right. Rachel Sklar: “who ever would have thought that Warren Beatty would take home the Oscar for Husband of the Year?”
Watching the red carpet! Some of the fashion choices give me, ahem, pause. But I will never get tired of actors in tuxes.
Valentino dress from 1981 on Ann Hathaway in Valentino Red. Wonderful to hear the master discuss fashion. I don’t like the dress though. What are those lumps of fabric that make this beautiful woman look like she is deformed?
People are being pretty brutal about Mr. Bening however. Tweets are comparing him to Warren Buffett, George Bush and Temple Grandin (ouch).
And there’s Annette Bening, who I am absolutely rooting for for Best Actress. Lighting candles for the long shot. She looks great, though I’m not sure about the dress. And why did Warren Beatty talk so much?
Annette Benning is so elegant. Clearly authentic.
I would really like to see Annette Bening win Best Actress (sorry Natalie)!
Karol posted her comment on the first blog, from Wed: she linked to this piece, which hails everyone from Sandra Bullock to Kathryn Bigelow…..
I didn’t get why people were being snarky about Blanchett’s dress until I saw it on TV. That color! And Karol, I think I’ve linked to Jenna Goudreau’s Forbes pieces before; she is so smart.
I was about to say something snide about the mother montage, but it was actually kind of nice.
Cate Blanchett is beautiful and a class act, but the dress is a little odd.
Robin Roberts looks great. Melissa Leo looks nice…if she were coming to my house. Glam it up a little, why don’t ya! It’s the Oscars! Helen Mirren is always cool. Sharon Stone (remember her) looked great, although maybe a little too dark around the eyes. Jennifer Hudson good. Hilary Swank good!
Amy Adams looks fabulous in her midnight blue sequined dress, Such great posture!
So great to see the young star of Winter’s Bone looking cleaned up after watching her unwashed for that chilling and fantastic film.
Something to think about – if Jennifer Lawrence wins, she can’t legally have a glass of champagne to celebrate. Neither, of course, can Hailee Steinfeld.
amy adams!! love the glitters!!
I missed this, but Roger Ebert didn’t. He tweets: “I vote for Jennifer Hudson’s orange gown. Beautiful. Sexy. Plus, it goes with the parking cones.”
Mila Kunis looks beautiful, although the dress is a little raggedy. A lot of people thought that she should have/would have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Black Swan.
