To swing into summer, we’ve again asked several accomplished women we admire to come up with 10 suggestions for a sweet season. This week we hear from Karla M. Martinez de Salas, who has spent the last two and a half years as the Fashion Market and Accessories Director at W magazine. —Ed.

Current Film on Your List to See This Summer: “Kon-Tiki, a film by Joachim Roenning and Espen Sandberg, is about the legendary Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl, who goes on an intense journey, lasting 101 days, crossing the Pacific Ocean on a raft to prove what he believes in.”
I was so jealous when I saw that Karla attended her friend’s wedding on Capri! Dying to try a Tracie Martyn facial and I also eyed those stylish coasters at AERIN’s charming store in Southampton.
There isn’t a thing on this list that I’d enjoy (except for maybe that weekend at her pal’s country house, and I doubt they’d be thrilled if I suddenly turned up uninvited) which is probably why I so enjoyed reading it. I love reading W too, although as a suburban librarian who mostly wears jeans to work these days, I’m probably not their target audience.
