What is your definition of Reinvention? Reinvention is about remaining as flexible as possible. Physically and mentally, the process of stretching myself is quite similar: I try to enjoy the process without focusing too much on the outcome and try to be consistent. The result is allowing new versions of myself to unfold, without judgments. It is a journey that is more about subtle enhancements than radical changes — like when you upgrade your phone’s operating system.

What are your favorite trends for 2017? Gentleness and joy towards yourself and others. It could translate in fashion as fewer extravaganzas, more subtlety and restrained elegance — a classic look with a touch of warm colors, a red lipstick or a playful detail.

What are your favorite winter accessories? These beautiful Chloé boots have the perfect height; this fur lined Parka by Yves Salomon helps to escape the cold winds; and a pair of high-waisted jeans, although I’m still looking for the perfect pair.

What was on your holiday gift list this year?

  1. Cashmere socks to beat the cold.
  2. Boxing and tennis gears for my boys.
  3. Two hours in the flotarium of Aire Bath is always a great gift.
  4. Candles from Cire Trudon for my clients.

What is your favorite winter fragrance? A new obsession is Louis Vuitton’s Dans La Peau. It is sensual and strong without being overpowering.

What is your favorite winter destination? I love hiking destinations and this year I am excited to discover Palm Springs. I’m looking forward to a mix of hikes in Joshua Tree National Park and visiting art studios, including the High Desert Test Sites and the Noah Purifoy Foundation.

What books, films and exhibitions are on your list to see and read this winter? I mostly read in French and go to the beautiful Albertine Bookstore on Fifth Avenue and 79th Street in New York City — they have also a great selection of English books. On my night table are Memoirs of Hadrian by Marguerite Yourcenar and Christiane Northrup’s latest release Goddesses Never Age. For movies, I am very excited to see Neruda and 20th Century Women.
