Write for WVFC

Women’s Voices for Change invites contributions of news, commentaries, personal essays, reviews, and poetry. We encourage all WVFC readers to take part in the ongoing conversation aimed at redefining the way women over 40 are seen in the culture, and how we see ourselves.

Contact us before you start. We prefer to start working with writers—even first-timers—before the piece is finished, so we can help shape it in the way that will fit the website best. Send us your idea in a short pitch—a paragraph will do—and we’ll get back to you about what comes next.

We’ll also consider completed pieces. Our strong preference is for previously unpublished pieces, but we’ll also consider previously published articles that are a particularly good fit. We may also be open to joint posts with established bloggers.

Suggested lengths. 200-400 words for blog entries; 800-1,000 words for in-depth analyses and personal essays.

Required contact information. Completed work must include the author’s full name and brief bio, along with a phone number and e-mail address (for contact purposes only).

Authors of personal essays may request that their names be withheld for privacy. This request must be made in advance.

Please send your ideas, pitches, and articles to editorswvfc@gmail.com. If you don’t hear back within two weeks, feel free to contact us again.

Before sending, please read the Terms of Use for the website.
