What about cases where hormone therapy only makes insomnia worse? And women who have uterine fibroids, and who are therefore unable to take estrogen supplementation? How to deal with the "adrenals gone wild" symptoms of the nervous system "waking up" and becoming active just when we need to be getting to sleep? Exercise only makes this worse, as the loss in progestrone can deprive the body of its ability to produce the calming neurotransmitters that are the basis of the parasympathetic nervous system function.

Why are doctors so passive and seemingly uninformed about so many aspects of menopause? Anyone who doesn't respond easily to a set formula gets dismissed and abandoned. Menopause specialists all claim to be highly experienced, but they give up at the slightest difficulty. Where do we find specialists who will trouble-shoot and problem-solve, and tackle the difficult cases?
